When her father was assassinated, Lady Aramina swore revenge against the Duke of Caine. Leo Barrons, the Duke’s heir, has long been her nemesis, and when she discovers he’s illegitimate, she finally has leverage against the one man who troubles her heart and tempts her body.

Sentenced to death for his duplicity, Leo escapes by holding Aramina captive. A woman of mystery, she’s long driven him crazy with glimpses of a fiery passion that lurks beneath her icy veneer. He knows she’s hiding something; he doesn’t know it’s the key to saving his life.

Whats happening in Bec’s world?

Recently finished: The dirty draft on a paranormal/steampunk YA, tentatively titled Darkmeld.
Work in Progress: A paranormal serial I’m playing with in between the other jobs, the first in my Verwulfen Chronicles, a contemp that’s a little bit Fast and The Furious meets NA, and my Victorian sorcery romance.
Reading: Viola Carr sent me a copy of her new steampunk, The Diabolical Miss Hyde and I loved it! One of the best steam punks I’ve ever read, it features Dr Eliza Jekyll, a crime scene investigator in Victorian London, who is investigating a series of new, brutal murders linked to her, and the salacious Lizzie Hyde, her darker alter-ego. Smashing good fun, a thrilling mystery, and a little bit Silence of the Lambs meets Jekyll and Hyde…
Watching: My Kitchen Rules. I love how every couple is like ‘We’re going to smash it out of the park’ and then get in to do their turn and realise yes, it’s actually harder than expected. I hear chef judge Manu is looking at retiring – so sad. I’m soaking up his delicious accent until then…
Life in General: Tomato and corn season has kicked into gear, and it’s all harvesting, harvesting, freezing at my house at the moment.
